Modern technology and user-friendly design. Digital camera and experiment kit included. Magnification: 64–1280x.

The Levenhuk Rainbow D50L PLUS 2M Digital Microscope will make a wonderful gift for a curious teenager, biology student or someone working in a laboratory. The microscope is suitable for both entry-level experiments and serious research. The kit includes a high-quality digital camera, making it possible to save the results of your work with your family, friends and colleagues with comfort and ease. You can even post your achievements as Instagram images or YouTube Videos.

Quality optics
Three objectives included in the kit allow for 64x, 160x and 640x magnification power. The objective with the highest magnification (40xs) is equipped with a spring-loaded mechanism. Even if you lower the objective a bit too much during focusing, it won’t break the cover slip on your slide – the spring will save the day, so both optics and the slide stay intact. The kit also includes a quality Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification provided with every objective. So even out of the box, the microscope is capable of 1280x magnification power!

The lenses are made of special optical glass, featuring a high level of transparency and no image distortion. For even better light transmission, optical surfaces are covered with multiple layers of coating.

Digital camera
The microscope comes with a 2Mpx digital camera. To start taking images or recording videos, install the camera instead of the eyepiece in the microscope’s eyepiece tube and connect it to your PC via USB cable. A magnified image of the observed sample will be transferred to your PC screen – a very convenient observing option. It’s easy to make quality pictures and record video clips with the user-friendly software included in the kit.

Combined illumination
The microscope is equipped with upper and lower LED illuminations. Lower illumination is required for observing transparent samples, for example thin slices of animal and plant tissues. To see paper fibers that are invisible to the naked eye or microscopic scratches on a coin, use upper illumination. Semi-transparent samples can be observed with both illuminations turned on. The brightness is adjustable, so every sample can be illuminated with just the right level of illumination.

Durable and convenient body
The metal body of this microscope will make this model last a long time, even under frequent use. The head is inclined at 45°, so the observer won’t get tired quickly when working with the instrument. The head is also rotatable 360° around its axis, a very convenient feature for group work.

The camera is powered through the USB cable. The microscope can be powered by an outlet as well as by batteries.

Experiment Kit
The microscope is supplied with the Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit, which holds everything needed by a beginning biologist. The kit includes prepared microscope slides, instruments for creating new slides, and a user guide with lots of useful information and descriptions of interesting experiments.

Protective case
The sturdy plastic case protects the microscope and its accessories during transportation, and protects against dust and moisture when in storage.

Nice Apo and a Real Value

I bought this scope for an industrial client whose needs are industrial, not astronomical, and this Explore Scientific ED127 is intended to be a beam expander in various Interferometric testing setups. For this, optical quality must be high and the carbon fiber tube is a plus for thermal stability. My purchase of the Explore Scientific ED127 F7.5 APO Triplet through Telescope Space was straightforward and pleasant. Ryan made sure everything was smooth.
Upon receipt I tested the scope by looking at a power pole 700 feet away, one that I have used for many such tests. The star test from the insulator glints was good – the focus snap was crisp, the in-focus diffraction blur was round with a faint first ring. I did not look at the through focus balance with a narrow passband filter as it was obvious there was no SA3. Color correction is very good as you would expect with the glasses used. There is no color in focus, and only a hint of subtle color fringing in the just out of focus edges of details. Extended details on the pole were rendered as well as, or better than, with any similar scope I have used on this target – this includes TMB, Astrophysics, and Takahashi scopes.
The build quality of the carbon parts is gorgeous. The metal parts are good quality anodized machined. I would prefer machined tube rings as the cast ones supplied are a little chintzy compared to the rest of the scope. The rack and pinion focuser works well, but the feel is not as good as some stock friction focusers I’ve used. Considering the extra high weight capacity of the focuser the feel may be the price paid. Overall I think the mechanical appearance and function is in line with the price.
I would certainly consider the Explore Scientific ED APO FCD100 triplet scopes for my personal use. My transaction with Telescope Space was great and I will do business with them again.

Review on Firstlight AR 102mm f9.8 on EXOS NANO EQ3

A great package for the price! The mount is steady! The Optics excel, in that the resolution and contrast are everything to be expected in a quality refractor! H.B. Appleton, Hi.

The staff at Telescope Space were very supportive and helpful as well!

Explore Scientific Mak Cas 152 with EXOS2GT MOUNT

I did considerable shopping around and finally decided to buy my 152 Mak from Telescope Space. Ryan was very helpful with all my questions concerning Explore Scientific and my specific purchase. After a short period using my scope and mount, the mount seemed to have more play than it should have. Ryan had the Explore Scientific owner call me directly, where he immediately offered to exchange my mount. He also had the factory ship out the new mount while I was still using my original unit. Excellent service and sales support from both Ryan at Telescope Space and Explore Scientific. I will buy again from Telescope Space!

Monocular

Very clear, I am impressed for $38
